VIP Emoji ๐Ÿ‘‘ โ€” Copy & Paste

VIP emoji are the crowns, gems, medals and badges people put next to a name to show rank or status โ€” ๐Ÿ‘‘ ๐Ÿ’Ž ๐Ÿ† โšœ๏ธ โ™› โ€” together with VIP written in special letters such as แด อฅษชอฃแด˜อซ and ๐Ÿ†…๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฟ. Unicode has no single VIP emoji, so these combinations do the job; tap one to copy it.

VIP name style โ€” try it with your name

Type a name and every VIP frame updates; tap one to copy it. The bold, italic and script letters are a font effect made of maths alphanumeric characters, so they work in display names, bios and chat names but are often refused in a username or @handle.

There is no official VIP emoji

Unicode, the standard every phone uses for emoji, has boxed-word emoji such as ๐Ÿ†— SQUARED OK, ๐Ÿ†’ SQUARED COOL, ๐Ÿ†“ SQUARED FREE, ๐Ÿ†• SQUARED NEW, ๐Ÿ†™ and ๐Ÿ†š โ€” but no VIP. That is why every โ€œVIP emojiโ€ you see is a combination: a crown or gem emoji, or the letters V, I and P taken from a boxed or styled alphabet.

There is no VIP emoji in Unicode: VIP built from boxed letters ๐Ÿ†…๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฟ U+1F185 U+1F178 U+1F17F

The boxed letters in ๐Ÿ†…๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฟ are NEGATIVE SQUARED LATIN CAPITAL LETTERS from Unicode 6.0 (2010). Unlike ๐Ÿ†—, most of them are not emoji, so they stay black and white on most phones. One trap: the flag letters ๐Ÿ‡ป ๐Ÿ‡ฎ ๐Ÿ‡ต must keep their spaces โ€” written together, ๐Ÿ‡ป and ๐Ÿ‡ฎ turn into ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ฎ, the flag of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

What แด อฅษชอฃแด˜อซ is made of

แด อฅษชอฃแด˜อซ is six characters, not three. The big letters are small capitals โ€” แด , ษช and แด˜ โ€” and above each one sits a combining letter: อฅ (small i), อฃ (small a) and อซ (small m). Read top row first and the hidden message is โ€œi am VIPโ€.

VIP text แด อฅษชอฃแด˜อซ made of small caps แด  ษช แด˜ with combining letters i, a, m on top, reading i am VIP

Combining letters were added to Unicode for medieval manuscripts, where a small letter written above another was common. Because they stack on whatever comes before them, deleting one character can move the little letters onto the wrong base โ€” copy แด อฅษชอฃแด˜อซ in one piece.

Emoji versus text symbol: ๐Ÿ‘‘ and โ™›

๐Ÿ‘‘ CROWN (U+1F451) is an emoji: your phone replaces it with a small colour picture. โ™› BLACK CHESS QUEEN (U+265B) and โ™š BLACK CHESS KING are text symbols from the chess set, borrowed as crowns because their tops look like one. Text symbols take the colour of your writing, so โ™› looks gold on a gold profile and black in a plain chat.

Some characters can be both. โšœ FLEUR-DE-LIS shows as an emoji when followed by the invisible variation selector U+FE0F (โšœ๏ธ) and as plain text with U+FE0E (โšœ๏ธŽ). Both versions are in the crown group of the tray โ€” pick the one that fits your style.

VIP emoji look different on each platform

The same ๐Ÿ‘‘ code point is drawn by a different artist on every system: Apple, Google, Samsung, Microsoft and Twitter/X each ship their own emoji font, and some apps bring their own. A crown that looks gold and jewelled on an iPhone may be flatter on Windows. The meaning stays the same; only the drawing changes.

VIP emoji for WhatsApp, Discord and Telegram

In group chats and servers, VIP emoji usually mark a role: ๐Ÿ‘‘ for the owner, ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ for admins, โšก for moderators, ๐Ÿ’Ž for paying or VIP members. The role badges in the tray are plain text plus one emoji, so they paste into a WhatsApp group name, a Discord role name or a Telegram title in the same way.

  • Discord: emoji can go straight into role names and channel names. Separate role icons, shown beside a memberโ€™s name, are a server-boost feature.
  • WhatsApp: put the badge at the start of the group name or of your About line so it shows in the chat list.
  • Telegram: admins can be given a custom title shown next to their name in groups; a short badge such as ๐Ÿ‘‘ OWNER fits there.

For check-mark style badges such as โœ… verified or โ˜‘๏ธ approved, the check mark symbols tray has every tick, filled and outline.

Copy emoji on a computer

On a computer the tray above is the quickest way, but every system also has a built-in emoji picker:

  • Windows 10 and 11: press the Windows key and the full stop (.) together, then search โ€œcrownโ€ or โ€œgemโ€.
  • Mac: press Control + Command + Space to open Character Viewer.
  • Chromebook: press Search + Shift + Space.

Text symbols like โ™› and แด อฅษชอฃแด˜อซ are not in those pickers under โ€œVIPโ€, so copy them from here.

Suggest a VIP emoji combo

Have a VIP combo that should be here? Send it through the contact form under โ€œSuggest a symbolโ€. Approved combos are added with the date they were added โ€” no invented popularity counts.

Questions about VIP emoji

What emoji is this ๐Ÿ‘‘?

๐Ÿ‘‘ is CROWN, U+1F451, added in Unicode 6.0 in 2010. It stands for a king or queen, a winner, or someone treated as the best โ€” which is why it is the most used VIP emoji.

What emoji is this ๐Ÿ’ฐ?

๐Ÿ’ฐ is MONEY BAG, U+1F4B0. It means money, wealth or a big win; next to a name it hints at a paying or premium member.

What does the โญ emoji mean?

โญ is WHITE MEDIUM STAR, U+2B50. It means a favourite, a top rating or a star performer. More star shapes, including text stars that keep your text colour, are in the star symbols tray.

Can I use VIP emoji in a username or a file name?

Usually only in display names. An Instagram or TikTok @username accepts letters, numbers, dots and underscores only, so put the crown in the display name or bio. Windows and macOS allow emoji in file names, but older programs and some zip tools may show them as question marks.

These VIP emoji are part of FancyTextToolโ€™s copy-and-paste library; the emoji collection has the everyday faces and objects.
